The 2009 Paris air show is in full swing and showing signs of success despite the economic crisis crippling the industry. The first deals have been done with Qatar Airways ordering 24 Airbus A320 jets. However orders are expected to be slow with airlines still struggling to fill flights with existing aircraft. Other orders placed at the show so far come from Qatar Airlines, Germany's Condor, and Royal China.
