Matt Taylor, Event Producer, The IET

Infrastructure investment is a massive part of the road to recovery from financial crisis. For this reason, government spending on internet broadband is as important as building the railways of the 19th century.

Connectivity is rising rapidly on the government agenda and projects like Digital Britain is one result of the digital business push. However, internet and IT projects have been high on the agenda for some time and it is time to now deliver capability through Fibre to the Home.

At the upcoming IET Fibre to Britain event the following issues will be discussed:

  • The emerging trends from the pilot projects and consumer demand
  • The developing business case, investment and financing concerns
  • Benchmarking against European projects
  • The key advancements in addressing the technical concerns, speed and standards
  • The initial factors for success for the national roll-out project for metropolitan and rural areas

The Fibre to Britain website has further information and details on how to register.
