Communication Networks and Services Network

We thank you for your interest in the Communication Networks and Services Network.

Following the TPN portfolio review, members of staff have worked in conjunction with volunteers to create a proposal for the future of this technical area within the IET.

This proposal document is being reviewed as part of the IET wide Community Engagement Programme which as part of its role is investigating new operating models for Communities of practice/interest/location and we hope these ideas can feed into that and give us a new more appropriate model to operate under.

The process of review and consultation is likely to take several months as it encompasses many departments and multiple levels of volunteer engagement, we will keep this page up to date as and when news on the programmes progress is available.  The IET maintains a commitment to Communications as a key area of interest across the organisation.

The IET have recently launched five new Sectors which are focal areas for activity and these form our priorities across the whole business, one of these is Information and Communications.  The Sector will bring together relevant content from around the IET and form a focal point for the topic going forward.
