Formula One has always made the headlines, but with today’s news of 8 teams wanting to form their own championship after the introduction of the £40m budget cap, an article in E&T is even more relevant.

More opera than soap explores the design elements which all the teams share. These include diffuser decks and kinetic energy recovery systems. The elements are vital; changes within these could change the face of Formula One.
