The new Dyson DC 31, is a 2.2lb hand-held vacuum cleaner, and can run ten times as fast as a commercial aircraft and five times faster than a Formula 1 engine.
This motor is already being used in ultra-powerful hand dryers and Sir James suggested that this is only the start of motors being incorporated in to many every day items.
