Since February 2000, the IET Healthcare Technologies Network has held a series of biennial seminars called Appropriate Healthcare Technologies for Developing Countries (AHT) (formerly know as Appropriate Medical Technology for Developing Countries), bringing together healthcare technologists, clinicians, researchers and public bodies from around the world. The 2011 Seminar was hosted by IMechE.
