This community brings together those with an active interest in health technologies and healthcare. Its registrants are professionals working in biomedical engineering areas, traditional engineering and technological disciplines, as well as end users, clinicians and healthcare professionals.
The Healthcare Technologies Network acknowledges students and rewards outstanding work in the field of research and development in biomedical engineering through the presentation of their William James Award and research and development through the Dennis Hill Award.
'The Engineer' magazine has reported that engineering companies and disciplines must actively encourage new recruits by raising the profile of their subject.
With doctors undergoing years of study and medical training is it right that they are made superfluous by inanimate objects?
