The Royal Observatory's curator of timekeeping, David Rooney, will show highlights of the award-winning Time Galleries, which house some of the most important timekeeping technology ever made. Working exhibits include the famous John Harrison marine timekeepers and an astronomical clock he made; the world's oldest working quartz clock, based on Dollis Hill technology; and a large number of fine astronomical regulators.
The visit will take place on Friday 11 July 2008 11-14:00. Places are limited.
