The Railway Network exists to represent the membership that is involved in railway transportation. It also serves to represent and promote the IET on railway issues in industry, regulation and through influencing Governments worldwide. The Network also strives to continuously work on improving and building relationships with other institutions to deliver effective and valuable activities for all types of railway disciplines.
The Railway Network covers the electrical engineering aspects of the management, promotion, design, construction, regulation, operation, safety and maintenance of railway, metro, tramway and other rail transport systems.
