  • IET Discover

    Social bookmarking - share your links with the science, engineering and technology community

  • IET.tv

    IET.tv is a web-based service which delivers engineering and technical presentations. These include lectures and major IET events; interviews with experts from industry and academia; and research seminars from universities.

  • Wiring Matters

    A publication written for installation and maintenance engineers and contractors, and companies to whom BS 7671: 2001 Requirements for Electrical Installations are relevant. 

  • Library online catalogue

    Search for books, conference reports and journals in the IET library. Certain features and services are only available to members.

  • Electronic journals free access

    This list provides direct links to electronic journals in electrical engineering and information technology which are freely available on the internet to all users

  • IET Archives

    A unique collection of material held to promote and preserve the history of science, engineering and technology. Includes research guides, biographies, featured articles, online exhibitions and information about the IET's history.

  • Online exhibitions

    Featuring images taken from material held in the Archives. Subjects include Arc Lamps, Domestic Lighting, Michael Faraday, Medical Electricity, the Science of Sound plus British Radar in World War II and Women in engineering.

  • Biographies

    Biographical information on many eminent scientists and pioneers in the engineering profession.

  • The Engineering and IT reference library

    400 engineering and IT books from major technology publishers, powered by Books24x7. 

  • Knovel e-books

    453 scientific and engineering handbooks and references from various publishers. 

  • Wiley e-books

    Over 100 full-text e-books from major engineering and technology publisher John Wiley.

  • EBSCO databases

    Several thousand full text journal titles, company and industry profiles and other information resources, powered by EBSCOHost.

  • Swetswise journals

    Tables of contents for several thousand journals covering technology and science subjects. Articles can then be ordered through our Document Supply services.

  • Key Note reports

    Online access to the full-text of 14 market research reports from industry analyst Key Note. 

Commercial

These products are primarily offered to academic, government and commercial organisations on an annual subscription basis. Individual subscriptions are available on most of these products.

  • Inspec Direct

    Access to the world's scientific and technical literature via a new intuitive, precision research tool.

    The new platform will assist engineers, scientists and others in their research, to locate relevant journal articles, conference papers and other documents to drive discovery and innovation.

  • IET Digital Library

    The full text of more than 80,000 technical papers from all IET journals, magazines, conference publications and seminar digests. 

    Highly cited journals such as Electronics Letters are available alongside 21 IET Research Journal titles, the IET's member magazine Engineering & Technology, seminar digests and conference publications. The IET's online only journal Micro & Nano Letters is also available.
